About Us
Sparkway works with start-up projects and venture capital firms to deliver strong value propositions across B2B and B2C businesses. We perform in-depth due diligence to acquire or improve established organizations. We have also partnered with television and print publishers to develop specialized content, driving viewers to online lead generation tools.
Recognizing the difficulty of sizing, recruiting and retaining resources, Sparkway provides top-level talent without long-term commitments, allowing clients to grow or shrink projects at will. Using sophisticated agile methodologies, projects are aligned closely with the client’s business with continuous visible progress.
Sparkway was founded by industry pioneer Jeff Marcus, whose leadership includes a number of “firsts” at a CTO and VP level and as founder of a NYC start-up company. Highlights include developing the first online ad serving network with real-time retargeting analytics, the first national cellular data network and working with the National Science Foundation to convert the internet from government-sponsored research and education to the worldwide commercially-operated network we enjoy today.
As Sparkway’s CEO and CTO/Chief Data Scientist, Jeff architected our development methodology and acts as virtual CTO for some of our clients. Formerly, he was CTO of 24/7 Real Media leading up to their sale to WPP for $650 million. As a VP and GM at Mirror Image he founded and ran their Streaming Media division. He was VP of networking at DoubleClick and VP of Operations at JvNCNET (John von Neumann Center Network at Princeton), connecting one of the original seven supercomputer nodes of the Internet. He also held management positions at KPMG and UPS and began his career as a software engineer at IBM. This wide industry experience is now applied toward helping Sparkway's clients succeed.
